
The SEMTECH® eREM is an open-path, laser-based methane monitoring system designed for continuous, autonomous operation in industrial and field environments. It uses proven Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) in a backscatter configuration to detect and quantify methane emissions in real time. By scanning a flux plane between the transceiver and passive target, eREM directly measures plume transport and emission rates without the need for complex dispersion modeling. The system’s patented statistics-based algorithms provide high sensitivity and accurate leak detection while distinguishing normal operations from abnormal emission events.
